Nathan: "She said you could lick her?  I don't believe that."

Jack:  "Jules believed it!"

2013 Memory Jar #73

In the morning, Jack saw the extra blanket Marika had used on the bed in addition to the sheet and the comforter that he was used to seeing.  He grabbed the blanket and said, "You should have two blankets."  He pulled it off and said, "I have a lot (his bed has ten blankets on it!), but you shouldn't have three!"

Thanksgiving 2013

We spent a lovely Thanksgiving at Emily and Rob's home with the Gillis side of the family.  Fun company and yummy food!

Partners in Crime

Jack (to Juliana in their bedroom): "Do you want to be in my bed?" Followed by the suspicious sound of a crib tent being unzipped.

Then, "do you need help?" and more unzipping.

I tiptoed around the corner and peeked into their room.

Sure enough. He was springing her loose.

This is the second time this week.

Jack: "Daddy, does water like to go down hills?"

Nathan:  "Yeah, and do you know what makes it go down hills? It's called gravity.  It's makes things fall to the ground.  If you hold something up, your hand keeps it up high.  If you let go, it falls to the ground.  That's gravity."

Jack: "That's kind of wonderful."

Jack: "Is Mommy here?"

Nathan (expecting him to say "at work"): "No, where is Mommy?"

Jack:  "In your tummy!"
