Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine

Nathan and Keith have an ongoing quest to find the best burger in Boise. On this trip we discovered one of the best burgers they've found so far at Donnie Mac's. Donnie Mac's had great trailer park ambiance to go with their trailer park cuisine! While the burgers might have been the best we've tried so far, their service was by far the worst. Of course, in this case, that might just be part of the trailer park experience!

Dinner with Rachel & Paul

We had a terrific dinner with Rachel and Paul while we were in Boise. They got to meet Jack and we got to meet Ben. A lot had changed since the last visit!

Dates

During our time in Boise, Nathan and I had a couple of date nights. For the first one, we went to Goldy's to have breakfast. My mom watched Jackson for us.

Or so we thought.

Later that day, we were talking with my mom and Zach when Zach said, "Maybe I'll just have to be a babysitter like I was earlier today."

"Oh, did you help Banya?" we asked him.

"Well, Banya didn't really do anything. She just asked if he had his boppy when he cried and then I gave it to him."

Our second date was a triple date with Andie, Keith, Lindsay, and Nate. After seeing the movie Date Night (six thumbs up!), we headed to Fanci Freeze for Boston Shakes. We had such a great time and will have to repeat this each time we visit (in my opinion)!

Jackson's Vacation Experience

Domesticated Bobcat

Just down the street from where we stayed there was a family who owned a pet bobcat. So, after dinner, we walked down the road to pay the critter a little visit. I have to admit, he made me nervous, especially when he kept sidling up to Jack's stroller and his owner informed us that he was especially interested in babies, because they have their own unique scent.

Nathan, Jack, and I were the first to leave.

Si Bueno

After the fun and chaotic experience of taking family photos, we headed to the Mexican Restaurant Si Bueno for dinner.

Family Pictures

We took the opportunity with everybody together to get family pictures. We did pretty much every grouping imaginable, and here are most of them for your viewing pleasure! ;)

Hot Tubbing

Nathan held baby Jack on the back patio while I enjoyed the hot tub with some family members.

Shortly after I got in, Kate said to Andie, "I think McKayla wants to ask you something."

"What is it?" asked Andie.

"I think it has something to do with Nathan."

"Well, she knows where I am. She can come and ask me."

Hearing that it was about him, Nathan walked with Jack to the back door where McKayla, with Kristin trailing behind her, was tentatively approaching the patio.

"Did you want something?" Nathan asked.

"Um, can we babysit Jackson in the motor home?" McKayla asked.

The ride got interesting when Keith got "pulled over" (is that still what it's called when you're in a boat on the water?). Luckily, he had everything in order. He does take his boating seriously!
